Kinky pinky… ;). I had some spare time today and got nothing to do. So after watching some Drum & Bass videos on youtube i just had to burn some tunes down and record a mix of my own. And that’s what i did to. I must say it was really fun to mix Drum & Bass, started dancing like a crazy while i was mixing. I have never mixed Drum & Bass before, so it was a new experience for me. I must say that I’m pretty satisfied with the end result. Some nice tunes and some good transitions. So all and all i give myself a 3 out of 5. ;)

Tomorrow I’m going to do a DJ gig at Club Moose @ Bysis Restaurant, Hornsgatan 82B, Stockholm. I will get backup from resident Kickan and Haywood Jablohmi. This is the first time they arrange their club at this venue. So it’s the premiere gig i will get to play. Something i am really happy about. I will try to record the set i do with my mini disk to put up here and on my promotion site for you to listen to. Wish me all the luck and a fully packed dance floor tomorrow (today). I also want to throw in a word for Kickan, the resident and one of the guys hosting the club. I downloaded a new promotion DJ mix from him tonight, and i must say that it sounds great. You’ll find the link to the mix at the end of this post.

Wooohaaa! So it’s a new month then. Maby you’ll noticed that new little “Top Plays this week” thingy i got up there? Anyway, it comes from a nice little site called Last.fm. It keeps track of all the music you play in winamp and other media players and makes you nice little charts etc. So thats where my little chart up there comes from anyway. One more thing thats so nifty about last FM is that it gives you suggestions of new music that you might like. Anyway, i think you should check it out.

In the last days I've been a little lazy on posting music. I know that and i will try to better myself a little bit. It’s just that i got so much things to do now regarding school. So the music get to step aside a little bit.

Had a really nice time yesterday at Elderly People. I met some old friends i haven’t seen in a while. Which was really fun! The music wasn’t in my taste, but Sekas did a great job behind the decks again. It was nice at the pre-party to. Listened to some electro and drank some beer. To much beer to i think. Regarding how i feel today :). Managed to get some photos taken yesterday. So i thought i would post some of them here.

Tonight I'm off to my first “rave” party this year. More precisely, Elderly People. Though i don’t go to rave parties that much anymore i really can’t stay away from this one. The thing about this party is that it takes you through all the different kind of rave scenes there been. They start off with some Acid, then into Goa, into psytrance and finally Fullon. The name of the party kind of speaks for itself in a sense. Old music together with allot of old-timers in the Swedish rave scene.
I attended the party last year to and it was a killer. I had a great time together with allot of great people. So I'm hoping it will be the same thing this year. The artist that really got the party smokin' last year was DJ Sekas. He will attend this years version of the party to. So once more i think this night will be a night to remember.

Ohhh! One more thing. Now that it’s kind of summerish and stuff outside i just can’t resist to throw in a word for all the great outdoor party's goin’ on here in Sweden. If you haven’t attended one i think you should, at least once in your lifetime. Great people with great attitude! Also, most of the party's use to have a progressive floor which don’t have to be surprised if you will hear some nice electro/progressiv house tunes all night and day long!
It’s the only thing i really miss from my time in the rave scene.




A little music tip to. The tune that will come from my and surely others speakers this summer will be this nice little thing from Chris Lake. Makes me go all butterfly in the stomach!

Don’t take to much notice of the mix name…. It’s named in dedication to a girl that entered and left my life in a quick pace (formula one racing). I’m not telling you if it something good or bad though. But you can always take a wild guess ;).

Ahhhh!!! Back in my big city life again! So sweet, so satisfying!

So…. now I'm back again after my little trip down to Skövde over the weekend. It was great to meat up with some old friends and have a little catch-up. It’s always nice to meet my parents to. Kick back and get taken care of. Managed to get some partying done to, on a club called Vatra. To bad they’ve gone back to that RnB-hiphopish kind of music though. When the club was “new” the DJ’s played allot of house music. Something that really made the club stand out compare to the rest of the clubs in Skövde. Anyway, i had a great time with my friend Kevin and i even got some flirting done with one of the girls in the wardrobe ;). Can’t seem to remember her name though…. The rest of the weekend i spend with my family and over at Kevins place. All and all i had a really great time.

The Herbaliser is also, like lamb, one of my favorite groups in the more trip-hopish genre. The Herbaliser are one of the more purely hip-hop oriented acts on Ninja Tune's. Combining mid-tempo beats with jazz and funk figures rap. Herbaliser bridge the gap between dusty B-side instrumental hip-hop and London's new school of psychotropic beat scientists. Or like they them self say; “Our instrumental style was born of a necessity to produce hip hop music, but without access to rappers we had to develop a new approach”.
The two videos talk for them self and describes pretty well how versatile the group is. They inspire me…..

Got a real problem with Lamb. I can’t stop loving them. All the records they have done is truly great stuff. I can’t see why they haven’t got more attention than they have. Lamb are totally “unknown” here in Sweden anyway. Something i think is strange. Maybe their music gets stuck in the MTV filter =).
